That was informative. So your post appears here, but there's a distinction between "tagged" and "direct message". This channel is currently set up to receive e-mail notifications for direct messages but not for tagging, and sure enough, no e-mail notification appeared.
Of course that is exactly what is supposed to happen, but now I understand it better. Thanks for the test.

Please don't crosspost groups. If enough people do, you'll soon understand why. You're in for a horrible user experience. When they were private messages this was easy to enforce, but now that I've brought back bangtags and simple mentions (but only for public groups) it's technically possible to do so. But just because you "can" doesn't mean you "should".
